Yesterday’s Marathon during Patriots Day was amazing. The vibration of thousands of feet pounding through the streets of Boston and its surrounding neighborhoods stirred the pot of history and feeling from centuries ago to our most recent past.
The commonality weaving together the span of space and time?
Revolution.
While this word may feel ominous and scary, it also serves as an important reminder to be curious and to consistently embark on asking the questions both on a personal as well as on a global level, of: Is our current way serving us? How are we feeling? What is draining us? What provides us with joy and energy? What are our passions? Wherein lies our work?

We have been in a volley with a huge and unseen opponent these past couple of years. We’ve all done notable work in re-imagining and evolving how we operate with this opposition within our dwellings and our lives. But, as we all know, our lives are a sum of what is inside as well as what lies outside of us.
It is no surprise that as we emerge and re-enter the broader stream of life that we may find ourselves weary, cautious, somewhat tender, and with wounds that have cracked open after being left covered and unattended for a while. It is just as important to see and honor these truths as it is to be joyous and celebratory of welcoming back other parts of our lives.
