Welcome to the last week of January- the coldest month of our winter here in the Northeast. I don’t know about anyone else here but it is usually at this time of the year where the monotony of cold days, more time indoors and tiredness start to peak. Despite being one of the warmer winters to date, the effects of the season, the pandemic, and all of life’s callings and events stacked on top of one another have been unsettling. Personally, I feel like that wolf from ancient Native American lore who howls in the dead of night during the cold winter months looking for nourishment and connection. (Ok, yes, drama has set in 😉 ). However, there is no point in denying that during times like these, we need to look both outward and inward for resolution, inspiration and motivation.
Often times, shifting our perspective one degree or adding one nugget of advice into our daily steps or practices can produce profound changes. This Saturday, TYC welcomes Olivia Riddiford to the Zoom stage to introduce us to Energy Medicine Yoga. If you are not familiar with Energy Medicine Yoga, it blends the practice of what we are more familiar with- the physical postures, breath work and meditative aspects of yoga, -to the knowledge and understanding of what our energy fields are and what we can do to stir and amplify them during our regular practice. Cool! This one degree of shift is a rather large one considering that there are nine different energy fields.
Did you know that there were nine different energy fields?
I sure didn’t! We are so excited to learn with you about the tools and
benefits that EM Yoga provides from one of the brightest and most vital people that we know!
We love sharing new ways and ideas with you. We are also looking forward to the return of teacher and staff spotlights in February to provide you a window into how we tick and why we are here.
Sending love and learning to brighten your days-
Your TYC Tribe
