This past weekend a friend shared with me that while she was grateful for the abundance of this time of year, that she was also dreading the cooler months that lay ahead where the light dwindles and the world closes inward. She shared the discomfort of losing her ability to easily charge out the door while bracing against the cold. While it is completely reasonable to feel anxious for the coming changes, there is something to be said for feeling and examining our borders and boundaries as we are left leafless and swayed by the wind and weather.
It is often the case that our ability to move helps us to clear the spaces within, but this week our event, workshop and upcoming series offers a three-pronged approach to accessing the cleansing quality of meditation through: bypassing the thinking mind and coming into the feeling body through music with the CommUNITY Kirtan, stretching inward and taking stock of the roadmap of the chakras with Amy, and finally moving towards stillness to generously see and release what is not serving our highest selves with Jane. We encourage you not only to move as a form of medicine, but also to be moved by discovering different ways to mediate the racing mind and raging spirit with a different vibration.
