Michele has been practicing yoga for more than 15 years. As a child, she was a gymnast and dancer who loved the freedom and meditation of such movement. As she grew older, she missed the physical and mental centering that her earlier experiences brought her. Originally, that is what drew her to yoga. Today, her practice has expanded and deepened after years of learning from several gifted and knowledgeable teachers. In July 2013, she completed an intensive 200-hour teaching certification program through The Yoga Paradigm in Nosara, Costa Rica.  Since then she has completed several workshops and trainings to expand and inform her teaching. She enjoys helping students discover for themselves the physical and mental benefits of yoga and truly believes that yoga is for Every Body.  Off the mat, Michele is a writer and English teacher. In her free time, she is outside as much as possible enjoying everything nature offers.

Client Testimonial ~

I am most comfortable taking a moderate slow flow class and found the right fit with instructor Michelle Netto. Michelle strikes a nice balance between giving her students the opportunity to work at the edge of their practice while offering modifications for engaging the poses at several different levels. Her knowledge of yogic philosophy and human anatomy combine to create a safe environment in which to explore.  Her detailed cues and demonstrations of poses have helped me to achieve better alignment. I feel much stronger and toned overall since starting to study with her.
