Happy October, friends! The winds of change are blowing and as I sit here watching the mighty oak branches sway from my window, I can see the ginormous acorns hanging precariously waiting for their moments to fall.
It’s a striking time ripe not only with fruits and vegetables but also with a prism of feelings and emotions. It can be easy to focus soley on speaking of light, love and levity, but we are all made of both light and dark and to express and feel both is necessary in order for our bodies to discharge, become neutral and return to a state of openness. Plants and animals do this with amazing grace while we as humans can sometimes get tripped up in the stigma of appearing weak or troubled when really, it is natural.
We welcome you to embrace rather than to brace all that is stirring within you. Your place on the mat in the home of your studio is waiting to surround you with all that is natural and needed. As we move into this month find what is therapeutic through movement, sound, ritual and seeing. We are here to hold space for all that you are and all who we are together.
With Love,
Your Friends at TYC
Spring and Fall
Márgarét, áre you gríeving
Over Goldengrove unleaving?
Leáves like the things of man, you
With your fresh thoughts care for, can you?
Ah! ás the heart grows older
It will come to such sights colder
By and by, nor spare a sigh
Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie;
And yet you wíll weep and know why.
Now no matter, child, the name:
Sórrow’s spríngs áre the same.
Nor mouth had, no nor mind, expressed
What heart heard of, ghost guessed:
It ís the blight man was born for,
It is Margaret you mourn for.
