Chelsea Winters has spent 15 years and thousands of hours teaching yoga. She completed her 500-hour teacher training at Solaluna Center for Yoga and Movement in Oberlin, OH. She went on to teach yoga at Oberlin College and also led specialized classes for student athletes there. In 2012, Chelsea trained to become a prenatal yoga instructor (PRYT) and began working with pregnant moms. In 2011 and 2012 she worked as assistant instructor in Solaluna’s Yoga Teacher Training program and became a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). In 2013, Chelsea relocated back to her hometown on Cape Cod and began offering classes in community spaces around Woods Hole: The Old Fire Station, the MBL Club, the Woods Hole Public Library (teaching children ages 4-10), and The Community Hall, where she is currently teaching weekly classes. The sessions that Chelsea leads are known in the community to be inclusive and welcoming, sometimes challenging, but always kind and supportive. A love of Human Anatomy and Physiology informs her teaching and ensures that students receive researched, knowledgeable, precise, and practical instructions. Chelsea hopes to be a lifelong student of yoga, meditation, wellness, and human flourishing, which will all come in handy as she and her husband, Adam, continue the project of raising their 3-year-old, named Leif.
