Wednesday @ 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.

Heated Vinyasa Flow

Come explore the foundations of a heated vinyasa yoga flow class (sometimes referred to as Hot Power yoga class), however the focus on the “power” part will be; the “power” of the breath, the “power” of how curious you can get with connecting with your body, the “power” of working with yourself in a way that heals. Integrating yoga postures that warm the body, stretch the muscles and get the heart pumping. Using the breath as our guide we will safely journey into a flowing practice that moves from one pose to another as well as pausing to hold postures all with emphasis on alignment. We will work on lengthening connective tissue, strength building and increasing the heart rate. Infused with styles from Forrest, Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga. This class is suitable for students who are familiar with asana’s (poses). Advanced practitioners will be able to push themselves to their edge if they choose.

Deep Stretch and Relax

Are you someone who works out weekly? A disciplined runner, biker, triathlete, or weight lifter? Do you want to be stronger, fitter, faster? Do those tight hamstrings or lower back aches keep you from pushing harder? Supplementing your workouts with even one hour of yoga a week has the potential to ease those aches and pains and enable you to push yourself to the next level. Yoga teaches elite athletes to hyper focus, through correctly aligned deep stretching combined with disciplined breathing. This class will focus on deep stretching, releasing and starting to gently wake up some of those chronically tight area’s in your body. While a yoga class can be a type of strength training, this class will focus on deeper stretching. There will be some strength building poses here and there; however, the theme will be releasing and stretching the body to speed up recovery so that you can get stronger fitter, faster. No yoga experience necessary.

Heated 75 F
